About this expansion

Minecraft: Builders & Biomes – Farmer’s Market Expansion is an expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Released in 2020, it introduces a new way to win: growing vegetables.

At the start of the game, vegetable patch tiles are shuffled together with the building and monster tiles, then laid out with everything else. When you build a vegetable patch, you can grow vegetables on it using small wooden cubes. Collect enough vegetables and you can shop for unique items from the villagers at the market.

These market items provide powerful abilities that can shape your plans. They are revealed at the beginning of the game and again after the first and second scorings, making the market a changing opportunity throughout the game.

• Crafting Table: Transform any stone into an emerald, which functions as a wild.
• Minecart with Chest: Take three blocks instead of two.
• Beacon: Take three actions each turn instead of two.
• Enchanting Table: Gain 20 experience points at the end of the game.

Because market items are first come, first serve, timing matters. Grow your crops quickly to make the best use of the available abilities, while deciding when to build vegetable patches and when to pursue the other opportunities in Minecraft: Builders & Biomes.
