About this board game

Mini DiverCity is a 2018 game for 1–7 players that plays in about 20 minutes. You lead a team of divers on a race against time to protect an archipelago of islands and its coral reefs.

Fishing, petrol, and tourism industries are taking advantage of the archipelago’s resources. Their growing control threatens to destroy the coral reefs, so your team must act before the ecosystem is completely lost.

Your goal is to demonstrate that the coral reef contains enough species diversity to justify transforming the archipelago into a national park. Convince the government of the reef’s value, and you can protect it from industrial exploitation.

  • Play with cards and several tokens.
  • Take on the challenge with 1–7 players.
  • Complete the game in approximately 20 minutes.

Mini DiverCity presents a shorter, smaller, and streamlined version of DiverCity. Its compact format focuses the experience on the urgent task of discovering and demonstrating the extent of the underwater world’s diversity.

If you succeed, the archipelago can become a national park and its coral reefs can be protected. If you fail, the industries will take over and continue exploiting the islands and reefs until the ecosystem is destroyed. Can you show the government what must be saved before it is too late?
