About this board game

Misfit Heroes is a board game for 2–4 players, played in about 45 minutes, where players organize unusual crews and compete to claim influence across the regions of Absurdia.

After a massive interdimensional event merged Earth with a fantastic realm, magical beasts and ordinary people now share a land of improbable combinations. In this setting, monster-accountants and cosmic wedding planners are part of everyday life, and the old world is gone for good.

Before each game, the character deck is created by placing a character transparency together with an attribute card inside a card sleeve. These combinations produce different character cards from game to game, creating an ever-changing cast and making it impossible to know exactly which characters will appear.

• Organize crews from a changing selection of character combinations.
• Use character actions to earn money, draw additional cards, and gain influence.
• Compete for influence in the mountain, forest, sea, and city regions.
• Claim regions after collecting 6 influence of the corresponding type.

Every character offers special actions, and the challenge lies in using those abilities together effectively. The strongest combinations can help your crew build influence and secure valuable regions before your opponents do.

In Misfit Heroes, adapting to the characters in front of you is essential. Claim regions, score points, and prove that your crew can win the hearts and minds of Absurdia’s citizens. The player with the most points wins.
