About this board game
Misterio is a simplified fantasy-horror deduction game for 2–6 players, with a play time of about 60 minutes. Designed for detectives aged 9 to 99, it was released in 1984.
The investigation unfolds in a castle in Transylvania, where an eccentric aristocrat and the servants living there have disappeared under strange circumstances. The only available clues come from local legends and superstitions about the monsters said to inhabit the castle.
According to these tales, the creatures return on nights of the full moon and attack anyone who dares to live there. Players take on the role of detectives attempting to make sense of the mystery and determine what lies behind the disappearances.
Misterio uses a process of elimination inspired by the simplified structure of Clue. The goal is to identify the game’s three keys and become the detective who successfully solves the mystery.
