About this board game

Monster 12 is a fast dice game for 2–5 players that takes about 12 minutes to play. At midnight, cheeky monsters emerge from hiding, and players race to catch them.

On your turn, roll the dice and look for matches. You may take only the three dice that match the color of the monsters shown on the face-up cards. The colors on the cards guide which dice can be used as you try to reach each monster’s required value.

When your chosen dice reach the value of the respective monster, place them on that monster to catch it. Every successful match brings you closer to the target, while the other players are working toward the same goal.

The central challenge in Monster 12 is connecting two requirements: the dice must match the monster’s color, and their value must reach the number needed for that monster. With turns moving quickly and a clear winning objective, each roll can bring a player closer to victory.

Keep your eyes on the available face-up cards, choose the matching dice, and try to catch monsters before anyone else. The first player to catch twelve monsters of different colors wins the game.
