Monty’s Gamble: Market Garden (Second Edition) is a two-player area movement game about Operation Market Garden, with an approximate play time of 180 minutes. Published in 2019, it simulates the Allied attack in Holland and the German response.

The Allied player must land paratroopers, seize key bridges, and move XXX Corps up “Hell’s Highway” to relieve the British paratroopers in Arnhem. At the same time, German forces attempt to break the Allied supply line, creating pressing concerns across the entire route.

A semi-simultaneous movement system keeps both sides closely engaged. Every move may be countered by the opponent, while each player must decide which need to address first. With pressing needs both up and down Hell’s Highway, choosing where to act can be difficult—especially before the variable turn length brings the turn to an end.
