About this board game
Nations at War: Stalin’s Triumph is a two-player World War II game with 90-minute play sessions, set on the Eastern Front around Kursk in 1943. Players portray the Soviet Red Army and German invaders in 16 scenarios covering combat on the northern and southern flanks of the battle.
The game brings the Nations at War system to the clash of these major forces. Battles depict actions around renowned locations including Prochorovka and Ponyri, with formations such as the 2nd SS and 11th Panzer Division represented alongside Soviet units defending the Motherland.
Three counter sheets provide the vehicles, soldiers, and weapons involved in the fighting. Soviet forces include the SU-152, known as the famed animal killer, and the T-34, the workhorse of the Soviet Army. German forces feature Tigers and Mk IVs, as well as distinctive vehicles including the Flamepanzer and the Ferdinand.
New rules add further battlefield elements to the system, including tank riders, commissars, fighter planes, goliaths, and rockets. The 16 scenarios use six printed 11-by-17-inch geomorphic maps and 440 three-quarter-inch counters.
