About this board game

Nautilus is a two-player card game playable in about 25 minutes, in which you compete to become Captain Nemo’s second officer.

Inspired by Jules Verne’s famous characters, the game challenges you to prove your knowledge across five fields that matter to the Captain: Science, Exploration, Navigation, Engineering, and War. Across six rounds, you must send divers to the depths of these domains and compete for valuable Domain cards.

At the start of each round, five Domain cards are placed face up on the game board. Each player then takes five Diver cards into hand, with values ranging from 1 to 14. Choose which divers to play and where to commit them, because the values played on both sides of the Nautilus determine how the available Domain cards are allocated at the end of the round.

Special cards add further possibilities by granting each player unique abilities. Every round contributes to the final contest, so the cards you collect across the five domains shape your route to victory.

When the game ends, players compare their scores in each field. Whoever has scored the most points in a field claims it, and the player who wins a majority of the five fields becomes the winner. With its focused two-player format, Nautilus offers a concise journey beneath the sea and into Captain Nemo’s world.
