About this expansion
Neuroshima Hex! 3.0: Steel Police is a 2–4 player army pack for games lasting about 30 minutes. Released in 2012, it introduces the Steel Police as a new force in the Neuroshima Hex universe.
The Steel Police are a wandering brigade of law-and-order fanatics equipped with pre-war experimental power armor. Chemicals used by the armor and cybernetic enhancements improve their physical abilities, but come at a cost to their psyche. Programmed to respond automatically to anything identified as a threat or crime, these officers arrive unexpectedly and pacify the area with explosions and gunfire.
This first army pack is part of a series of mini game expansions, with each pack introducing one Neuroshima Hex army. The Steel Police army was created by Michał Oracz, the author of the game, and brings one of the Neuroshima world’s symbols into Neuroshima Hex.
Its defining feature is Reflection, a new ability in the Neuroshima Hex line. Reflection protects a Steel Police unit from attacks directed at the side marked with the Reflection icon, then sends the attack back in the opposite direction for one field.
- Reflected attacks can hit an enemy Unit, HQ, or Module on an adjacent field in the line of attack.
- Reflected attacks do not harm Steel Police tiles.
- The army combines relentless law enforcement with a defensive ability that can redirect enemy fire.
With its imposing armored officers and distinctive attack-redirection mechanic, Neuroshima Hex! 3.0: Steel Police offers a focused new army for players exploring the expanding Neuroshima Hex setting.
