Specters of Nevermore

About this expansion

Specters of Nevermore is a 2016 expansion for the casual card-drafting game Nevermore, designed for 3–6 players with a play time of about 60 minutes. It brings the eerie literary world of Edgar Allan Poe into the game through twelve unique player characters.

The lure of untold mystic power draws players toward the Plutonian shores, where the specters of Poe’s gothic horror characters can be summoned into service. Each character offers a distinct ability in human form, along with a second ability in raven form should that character be turned into one.

Characters are chosen through a draft, giving players the opportunity to select a figure that best suits their preferred play style. The set includes Dr. Tarr and Prof. Fether, the Imp of the Perverse, Dupin, Lenore, and other characters inspired by Poe’s works.

Beyond its character content, Specters of Nevermore upgrades the game’s components with premium-resolution tokens.
