About this board game

NEXT is a cooperative word game for 2–5 players that plays in about 30 minutes. Each person creates a chain of 6–8 words for the team to guess, but the only clues provided are the first letters of those words.

At first, the task may sound simple. Yet every letter can lead the group closer to the intended answer—or send everyone toward a completely new idea. Success depends on creativity, communication, and a good sense of how your fellow players think.

As the team works through each chain, NEXT creates room for surprising associations, bizarre trains of thought, and sudden moments of revelation. The game is cooperative, so everyone is working toward the same goal: coordinating their ideas well enough to reconstruct the word chain.
