About this board game

Not Alone is an asymmetrical card game for 2–7 players, played in about 45 minutes, where stranded explorers struggle to survive an alien entity on the mysterious planet Artemia.

Set in the 25th century, the game begins with an intergalactic expedition shipwrecked far from safety. While the survivors wait for a rescue ship, they explore their surroundings—but the Creature has picked up their scent and begun the hunt.

One player takes the role of the Creature, while the remaining players become the Hunted. The Hunted use Place cards to explore Artemia and play Survival cards to avoid, confuse, or distract their pursuer. Their goal is to endure until help arrives.

The Creature uses Hunt cards and the mysterious powers of Artemia to track the survivors, wear them down, and ultimately assimilate them to the planet. Every decision can reveal a pattern, create a risky opportunity, or send the pursuit in a new direction.

  • Asymmetrical play: the Creature and the Hunted pursue entirely different objectives.
  • Mind games: guessing and bluffing shape the struggle for survival.
  • Card strategy: hand management and a touch of deck-building add tactical depth.

With its evocative setting and direct conflict, Not Alone creates a tense contest between careful exploration and relentless pursuit. The Hunted must survive the dangers of Artemia, while the Creature seeks total assimilation.
