About this board game
Not Enough Mana is a potion-drinking card game for 3–6 wizards, with games lasting about 120 minutes. Players battle one another by casting epic spells, unleashing curses, equipping artifacts, and facing events drawn from the deck.
Each wizard has health points and mana points to manage. Spells require mana, but players can replenish their supply at any point in the game by drinking magical mana potions. This creates a central part of every turn: deciding when to spend mana and when to restore it.
On their turn, players draw and play cards to affect the battle. Alongside spells and curses, artifacts can be equipped, while epic events add further moments to face during the game. The goal is to eliminate every other wizard from the contest.
- Play with 3–6 fearless wizards.
- Cast spells that require mana points.
- Use curses, equip artifacts, and face epic events.
- Replenish mana by drinking magical potions.
A wizard is removed from the game after losing all health points or becoming incapable of making a move on their turn. Elimination can therefore come through depleted health or by K.O., also known as Too Much Mana.
With its direct wizard-versus-wizard objective and potion-fueled mana system, Not Enough Mana keeps the focus on eliminating rivals before they eliminate you. The last wizard remaining wins.
