About this board game

o BOM, o MAU e o BODE is a game for 2–5 players that takes about 45 minutes, casting players as Old West characters competing for wealth, control, and dominance in a frontier town.

Across three rounds, players take part in a shifting exchange of Character Cards. The dealer checks four cards, chooses one to offer face-down to another player, and declares which character is being offered. The dealer may be telling the truth—or lying.

The recipient must decide whether to accept or decline the card. If the offer is accepted, the recipient gains control of the character. If it is declined, the dealer gains control instead. Either way, the player on the left becomes the new dealer, keeping the action moving around the table.

  • Character powers: Characters can provide coins or valuable Belonging Tokens.
  • Dangerous roles: The Sheriff and the Gunslinger can bring trouble or arrest.
  • The Goat: This worthless character is the card no one wants to receive.

After three rounds, the game ends. In a two-player game, the contest lasts four rounds instead. Players then total the money represented by their coins and Belonging Tokens, and the player with the highest total wins.

With its rotating dealer, concealed offers, and uncertain character effects, o BOM, o MAU e o BODE creates a tense contest of choices and claims. Every offer can change who controls a valuable character—or leave someone stuck with the Goat.
