About this board game

OddVille is a card-based city-building game for 2–4 players, with play lasting about 60 minutes. Players compete to build the city of OddVille, home to four powerful worker guilds, while earning the most points.

Each turn, choose whether to play one of your four Worker cards or add a building to the city. Every Worker card has a different power and can be used in different ways: obtaining a building project, collecting resources, or gathering coins.

When you add a building, its position matters. Connect it to adjacent buildings with roads to gain their bonuses, and plan the growing street layout to access resources or coins from nearby buildings—even when those buildings belong to another player.

  • Manage workers to secure resources, coins, and building projects.
  • Place buildings carefully to benefit from connected bonuses.
  • Impress guilds to bring helpful guild members into your plans.
  • Watch for guild meetings that recall every guild member to the guild hall.

Guild members may gladly help while enjoying your hospitality, but their loyalty belongs to the guild. At a moment’s notice, a guild meeting can send every guest back to the guild hall, regardless of how inconvenient their departure is—and the player who inspired the meeting may benefit from the disruption.

The city changes with every contribution, continually altering the value of players’ buildings. In OddVille, timing, placement, and worker management all matter as you try to make your mark on the developing city.

The game ends as soon as a player builds a sixth building. Once construction stops, the player with the most points wins.
