About this board game

Oh, Fox! is a 20-minute hidden-identity game for 2–4 players, in which forest animals gather food while one predator hunts them. Over eight turns, everyone chooses a face-up movement card simultaneously, creating a tense puzzle of uncertain identities and locations.

Each player takes the role of a forest animal with a unique ability. Prey animals must search for food, while the predator watches for an opportunity to strike. The challenge is not only deciding where to go, but also working out who the other players are and where they may be hiding.

Movement in Oh, Fox! is deliberately deceptive. Players plan and play their movement cards each turn, but their figurines do not actually move until the end of the game. This unusual rule keeps everyone guessing throughout the eight-turn hunt, as visible choices may conceal the animals’ true positions.

  • Players: 2–4
  • Play time: 20 minutes
  • Game length: 8 turns
  • Core challenge: hide your identity and deduce the identities and locations of the other players

Will a tempting patch of berries lead a prey animal to safety, or put it directly in danger? Every movement card contributes to the uncertainty as players try to gather food, conceal their intentions, and identify the predator before it is too late.

Released in 2019, Oh, Fox! combines simultaneous card play, secret positioning, animal abilities, and a forest-themed hunt in a compact game of bluffing and deduction.
