On Mars: Alien Invasion is a 2022 expansion for On Mars that adds a four-chapter story and four different modes of play for 1–5 players, with a listed play time of 150 minutes.

Written by Nathan Morse, the Alien Invasion story explores a growing threat on the famous red planet. Aliens are invading, and the future of the colony depends on the actions of those trying to establish a presence on Mars.

This expansion offers a range of ways to experience the story. Depending on the chapter, players may compete in a one-versus-many scenario, work together cooperatively, or face the challenge alone. Each chapter provides a fresh and completely replayable way to expand upon the On Mars base game.

• Chapter 1 – Invasion: One versus all for 3–5 players
• Chapter 2 – Outbreak: Cooperative play for 2–4 players
• Chapter 3 – Blackout: Cooperative play for 2–4 players
• Chapter 4 – Monolith: Solo play for 1 player
