On the Dot

About this board game

On the Dot is a fast 2–4-player brain teaser that takes about five minutes to play. Each round challenges players to recreate a colorful dot pattern by layering transparent cards.

A combination card is placed on the table, showing the target arrangement of colored dots. Players examine the pattern and try to reproduce it using their four transparent plastic cards.

The cards can be rotated and flipped, then superimposed in different orders. The challenge is not only finding the right arrangement, but also hiding dots on cards placed underneath so that the visible result matches the combination card exactly.

When a player believes their pattern is correct, they shout “Vitrail!”, “On the Dot!”, or “En el Punto!”. If the copy is correct, that player wins the card. The first player to find the right solution gets the chance to claim the round.

• 16 transparent plastic cards: four sets of four identical cards, with red, yellow, green, and purple dots
• 64 one-sided combination cards

On the Dot also includes a solo mode. Set a time limit and see how many combination cards you can recreate before time runs out.

Released in 2006, On the Dot combines visual matching, card layering, and quick pattern-solving in a compact tabletop puzzle. Its transparent cards make every solution a hands-on exercise in rotation, order, and careful observation.
