One Earth

About this board game

One Earth is a climate change board game for 2–5 players, played in about 40 minutes.

Earth is the only home we have, yet human advancement threatens the planet’s ability to sustain life. In this game, you and your friends take the roles of Earth’s mighty nations, each seeking prosperity and the highest possible living standards for its citizens.

The challenge is that national success cannot come at the expense of the whole planet. Players compete with one another to ensure their citizens prosper, while also working together to preserve Earth’s sustainability and survival.

• Compete to provide your citizens with a high standard of living.
• Balance the desire for advancement with Earth’s ability to sustain human ambitions.
• Cooperate across nations to protect the planet everyone shares.

This creates a central tension between individual national goals and a shared global responsibility. Progress may benefit one nation, but Earth’s continued survival depends on collective action and a careful balance between advancement and sustainability.

Designed for 2–5 players, One Earth offers an accessible way to explore the climate challenge through friendly competition and cooperation. Whether your group focuses on prosperity, sustainability, or the difficult balance between them, every game returns to the same essential idea: there is only One Earth, and it is our duty to protect it.
