About this board game

One Page War is a two-player war game for 1–10 players, playable in around 30 minutes. Players battle across five arenas: land, sea, air, politics, and espionage, seeking to create the strongest combinations of numbers in each one.

Completing an arena unlocks a special power with a limited number of uses. As powers are used, they are crossed off and exhausted, creating a race to claim valuable abilities before the opposing player. Will you spread your numbers thinly across several arenas, or concentrate your forces early to reach more powerful special powers?

Both players always use the same dice rolls to generate their numbers, so victory cannot be left to luck alone. The outcome depends on how those shared results are arranged and when each arena is completed.

  • Five arenas of war: land, sea, air, politics, and espionage
  • Number combinations determine control of each arena
  • Limited-use special powers reward completing arenas
  • Playable with two players, as a team game for up to 10, or solo

One Page War is provided as a printable PDF designed to fit on a single sheet of paper, with the rules on one page so they can be printed on the back. Files are available in both A4 and Letter formats, and the game can also be printed in larger sizes such as A1.

If you prefer not to print, a PNG image file is provided for online play. With only one die and a pencil required, One Page War offers a compact format for a tense struggle over timing, numbers, and special powers.
