Ooga Booga is a 10-minute memory and party game for 3–6 players, in which you repeat a growing chain of primitive sounds and gestures while trying to become the clan leader.

At the beginning of each round, every player receives three cards face-down. Each card shows a “word” with an associated illustration, such as “Miti” for a woolly mammoth or “Atrrr” for fire. Because the cards remain hidden, players must listen carefully and remember the sequence as it grows.

The first player places a card in the center, makes its guttural noise, then points to another player and says “Ha!” That player adds a card, repeats every sound in order, and chooses someone else. Some cards introduce an extra action, such as sticking out your tongue or pounding the table, making the chain even more challenging to reproduce.

• Build the sequence: Add cards while repeating all earlier sounds and performing any required gestures.
• Call out mistakes: Accuse a player by pointing and saying “Ho!” when you think the chain was broken.
• Finish the round: Successfully play a third card and end the sequence with “Ouga Bouga!” to distribute the center cards and previously collected penalty cards.

If an accusation is correct, the accused player takes the center cards and one card from each accuser. If the accusation is wrong, the accusers split the cards among themselves. After each round, players refill their hands to three cards.

When the supply cannot refill the players’ hands, Ooga Booga ends. The player with the fewest cards wins, turning every sound, gesture, and accusation into a test of memory and composure.
