About this board game

Overbooked is a board game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 40 minutes, in which you manage a competing airline and try to earn the most prestige.

Every passenger has different needs, so each booking presents an important challenge. Book too few passengers and your flight may not be full; book too many, and some passengers will be noticeably unhappy. Your aim is to satisfy as many passengers as possible while making thoughtful use of the available seating.

On your turn, choose a passenger card. The card shows the orientation, quantity, and type—represented by colour—of passengers to be placed. You then seat those passengers on the plane according to the card, gradually shaping your flight and its passenger arrangements.

• Manage a competing airline and pursue prestige.

• Balance the risks of booking too few or too many passengers.

The game’s ending is triggered when any type of passenger runs out. At that point, points are counted and scored, revealing which airline has best satisfied its passengers.
