About this board game

Overlords of Infamy is a board game for 1–5 players that takes about 90 minutes, casting each player as an Evil Overlord bent on making their subjects as miserable as possible.

To pursue your sinister ambitions, you must harvest a variety of materials and complete a host of Nefarious Plots. Your schemes can range from petty mischief to impossible acts of villainy, including plans to:

• Steal Candy from Babies
• Make Everyone’s Socks Slightly Damp
• Blow up the Moon!
• Divide By Zero

But an Evil Overlord’s plans never go entirely unchallenged. An annoyingly righteous Adventuring Hero from the Kingdom of Good travels around trying to thwart each overlord’s scheme, forcing you to contend with a persistent threat while you build your reputation for wickedness.

Your actions also influence the world around you. As the World’s tension rises, it eventually culminates in a random global event. This event may be catastrophic or beneficial, adding an unpredictable twist to the unfolding struggle between rival overlords.

Competition does not stop with the Hero or the world itself. Other overlords can commit acts of espionage against you, creating another layer of danger as everyone works toward their own sinister goals. Complete your plots, stave off the competition, and repel the Adventuring Hero.

In Overlords of Infamy, only the most successful villain may earn the ultimate distinction: being denounced the Overlord of Infamy.
