About this board game
Pajarracos is a fast card game for 3–8 players that takes about 10 minutes, in which farmers compete to harvest the most delicious fruits while hungry crows threaten their crops.
On each turn, choose how to develop your farm or disrupt your rivals. You can sow fruits by playing as many cards of the same fruit type as you want. You can also launch a crow attack, playing as many crows as you want onto other players’ sows.
- Sow fruits: Play any number of fruit cards of one type.
- Attack with crows: Place any number of crows on opponents’ sows.
- Protect your sows: Use scarecrows to defend crops or keep them safe from future attacks.
- Replace your hand: Discard and draw as many cards as you want, up to five.
Scarecrows cannot be played at the exact moment a sow is being attacked. If one of your sows has crows on it during your turn, you must play a scarecrow to scare them away. When multiple sows are under attack, you need one scarecrow for each crow.
If you cannot protect an attacked sow, each crow eats one fruit and remains there. Crows stay until scared away or until they eat the entire sow, at which point they go to the discard pile. Careful timing is essential as you build your own crops and pressure the other farmers.
The end is triggered when the draw pile runs out, after which players continue using only the cards remaining in their hands. If a player cannot play a card, the game ends immediately; the crows do not eat that turn and fly away. Then it is time to count points and determine the most successful harvest.
