Pampero: Nature

About this expansion

Pampero: Nature is a 2024 addition for 1–4 players that introduces habitat protection as a new strategic focus. Players can place Nature Tokens near transformers, build their Nature Income, and earn rewards through the game’s existing income system.

The new Nature Action Card can only be played when several conditions are met. You need a wind farm in your color in the sector you are taking the action in, a transformer in a remote location in that sector, and a card with a Nature icon matching both the wind farm and transformer. The normal cost of the space on the Action Board also applies.

• Take a Nature Token from the supply and place it by the selected transformer.
• Begin or advance your Nature Income Marker on your PG&I board.
• Pay 2 energy or 1 battery to move the Nature Income Marker up 2 additional spaces.
• Score the Nature Income Marker during Consolidation using the normal income rules.

When you place your first Nature Token, your Nature Income Marker enters the $1 Remote Income track space, or the $2 space if the first is occupied. Each later Nature action moves the marker up one space. If either the Nature Income Marker or Remote Income Marker reaches an occupied space, it moves to the next available space instead.

Designed around the impact of wind farms on surrounding fauna and flora, Pampero: Nature gives players another way to pursue rewards connected to remote infrastructure. Additional Nature Specialist Cards and a Build Wind Farm Token add further play variability, making habitat protection an adaptable part of the game’s strategic landscape.
