Paper World

About this board game

Paper World is a 15-minute card game for 2–4 players, in which travelers recreate the landscapes they have seen by building layered paper scenes.

Each player collects cards and places them in front of themselves to form a personal landscape. The goal is to stack the available paper layers strategically and finish with the most victory points.

On your turn, choose one of two actions:

• Take one or more cards.
• Place one or more cards in front of you to develop your landscape.

Whether taking or placing, your cards must share the same color or the same value. This simple rule shapes every turn as you decide when to gather cards and when to commit them to your growing landscape.

The game’s end is triggered when only two piles of cards remain in the center at the end of a player’s turn. Once this happens, every player—including the player who triggered the ending—takes one final turn before scoring begins.

Victory goes to the player with the most stars on their cards. If players are tied, the winner is the tied player with the fewest cards in their discard pile.
