About this board game

Patton’s First Victory: Tunisia is a 1-2 player World War II wargame about the 1943 campaign in North Africa, playable in approximately 120 minutes. With only four pages of rules, it offers a streamlined yet accurate simulation of the struggle between Allied and Axis forces.

The Allies must maintain momentum and keep pressure on the Axis, fighting for a breakthrough and capturing enough important Tunisian harbors to win. The Axis player commands a smaller but potent army and air force, defending the mountains while looking for opportunities to counterattack and disrupt the Allied advance.

Historical detail shapes every part of the map and forces. Towns and airbases are precisely positioned, terrain reflects the actual campaign, and divisions receive carefully rated combat factors. The full order of battle is represented, including notable formations such as the formidable 10th Panzer Division.

Support assets add an important layer of decision-making. Assign them to powerful divisions to create concentrated strike groups, or use them to strengthen lighter units holding critical ridges. Choosing where these scarce assets matter most can determine whether a position holds or an attack breaks through.

  • Historically accurate terrain, towns, and airbases
  • Full order of battle for divisions engaged in Tunisia
  • Support assets that can increase divisional combat strength
  • A complete campaign playable in a couple of hours
  • A 17 x 22 inch terrain map and 114 die-cut counters

Set in spring 1943, Patton’s First Victory captures the clash between Allied pressure and experienced Axis defenders. If the Axis can hold the Tunisian mountains, the war in the west may be delayed; if the Allies seize the harbors, they can cut off Axis supply and escape.
