Payoff Pitch Baseball is a baseball tabletop game for 1–2 players that plays in about 25 minutes. Its distinctive pitcher–batter interaction is designed to realistically replicate the game of baseball while keeping each at-bat quick and effortless.

Every at-bat begins with the pitcher card, which determines the quality of the pitch. Play then flows to the batter card to resolve the result of the at-bat, creating a clear sequence that connects the pitcher and batter in every confrontation.

Payoff Pitch Baseball offers two ways to handle the game’s results. Use dice and charts, or choose the alternate Fast Action Card (FAC) system. The two methods can also be combined if desired.

• Dice play uses two six-sided dice and two ten-sided dice.
• The Fast Action Card system includes 112 cards.
• Each player card is based on that player’s actual statistics for a given season.
• Most teams have 32 to 35 players.

The print and PDF versions contain the same materials and can be played with dice, cards, or both. The printed edition is shipped, while the PDF edition is downloaded; PDF purchasers need to provide their own dice if they want to use the dice system.

Released in 2013, Payoff Pitch Baseball gives players a choice between chart-based dice resolution and a card-driven approach. Whether using the supplied materials in print or assembling the game from its PDF version, each play centers on the pitcher card, the batter card, and the statistics represented on them.
