About this board game
Peanut Club is a 20-minute auction game for 3–6 players, set at a spectacular sale where objects from disparate universes are brought together. Each player takes the role of a collector, competing to leave with the most beautiful and valuable collection.
Auctions use three currencies: Camels, Peanuts, and Million Dollars. Their values are set randomly and may change during the game, making every bid a calculation. Players begin with a random selection of currency cards worth 35 in total, then compete simultaneously for revealed lots containing one to three object cards.
Every object card displays the item and two category symbols drawn from eight possible categories. The highest bid normally wins the lot, but players can influence the auction with special powers. These may change a currency’s rate, forbid the use of a currency, or allow a player to use the currencies they choose to pay a winning bid. These powers are generally one-shot effects—with an intriguing exception.
- Simultaneous bidding with three changing currencies
- Lots containing one to three object cards
- Special powers that can disrupt or reshape bids
- Collection scoring based on category symbols and character preferences
The auction continues while objects remain and at least one player still has currency cards. At the end, players score 3 points for every three identical category symbols. Each Luxury symbol, Antique symbol, and symbol matching a player’s character category also provides 1 point, with all scoring effects cumulative.
With its shifting exchange rates and tactical powers, Peanut Club turns each auction into a contest of timing, valuation, and collection strategy. The player with the most victory points wins.
