About this board game

Piazza is a tile-laying game for 2–4 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Together, players gradually create a colourful piazza, placing tiles and earning points throughout the game.

On each turn, place a tile and look for opportunities within the growing layout. The key scoring idea is to sandwich as many other tiles as possible between your own, turning the developing piazza into a lively puzzle of placement and points.

Players can also make clever use of their opponents’ templates. As more tiles are added, the piazza becomes larger and the possibilities become more interesting, keeping the outcome suspenseful until the very last tile.

Every placement contributes to the shared creation while giving players opportunities to improve their scores. Because points are earned continuously, the game’s progress is easy to follow as the colourful layout takes shape.

At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins. Released in 2023, Piazza presents its tile-laying challenge as dolce vita in a can—a compact game built around shared construction, clever use of templates, and satisfying scoring opportunities.
