About this board game

Piratas! is a pirate-themed card game for 2–6 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Take command of a pirate ship, gather five treasures, and avoid being robbed before your opponents can claim victory.

Every turn gives you two actions. You can play a card and use its ability, buy a card from the deck, or declare a duel with another player. These simple choices create a race filled with opportunities to attack, defend your gains, and disrupt rival captains.

Duels put your cannons and cannonballs to work. When challenging another player, choose how many cannons to use and the corresponding fired cannonballs. The winner kills all of the opponent’s pirates, then gets to look at and choose one card from the loser’s hand.

Cards add plenty of pirate mischief to each game. Their actions can let you steal treasures, pillage, flee from combat, or even drown another player’s pirate. A parrot can also copy another player’s action, opening up surprising tactical opportunities.
