About this board game

Planepita is a dexterity game for 2–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. Across four rounds, players flick discs onto a central playing area, aiming for the rings where their pieces can earn the most points.

The board and one side of every disc are magnetic. After flicking a disc, its player may turn it face down so the eye of the piece is no longer visible. This makes the disc attach more firmly to the board, but a face-up disc is worth more than a secure face-down disc.

That choice creates the central tension in Planepita: pursue greater value or make a disc more difficult to remove. Position matters too, since discs in the inner rings are worth more points than discs in the outer rings.

Once everyone has flicked their discs, the board is checked. Any face-up discs in the same ring as a neutral piece are removed. The remaining discs then determine the scoring, with players comparing the value of their pieces in each ring.

  • Flick discs toward a central playing area.
  • Choose between a more valuable face-up disc and a more firmly attached face-down disc.
  • Watch for neutral pieces that can remove face-up discs from the same ring.
  • Score by ring, then continue until four rounds are complete.

With its magnetic board, ring-based scoring, and direct flicking action, Planepita combines physical precision with timely decisions. The player with the most points after the fourth round wins.
