About this board game
Pocket Landship: Free Trial Version is a solo 9-card wargame for one player, designed to play in about 20 minutes. Set in a World War I-ish world, it challenges you to command a landship and clear a sector filled with enemy infantry, artillery, landships, and mine fields.
Begin by choosing either side of the three player cards. This determines your force: you can command a single high-powered landship equipped with a main cannon and side sponsons, or field a lesser-armed landship alongside a corvette-class landship or a squad of shock troops.
Next, choose one side of each of the six enemy cards and arrange them in two rows of three. Every card has its own damage track, creating a compact battlefield where each decision matters. Your objective is straightforward but dangerous: destroy all six enemy cards before the enemy destroys your landship.
- Roll three six-sided dice during your turn.
- Assign one die to each of your cards to attack the enemy forces.
- On the enemy turn, roll the three dice and assign them from low to high, left to right, across the front enemy line.
- Resolve the assigned enemy actions and track damage until cards are destroyed and removed.
The small card count makes Pocket Landship easy to set up while preserving meaningful tactical choices. Decide how to use your dice, manage damage across your force, and work through the enemy formation without losing your landship.
