Pot-de-Vin is a 2017 card game for 3–6 players that takes about 45 minutes to play. Set in uncertain times after a coup, it challenges players to compete for the support of the city’s guilds.

A power void has opened the way for everyone from the highest aristocrat to the lowliest gang boss. Bribery, skullduggery, and knowledge of the city’s four most powerful and influential figures may all help, but knowing when to strike requires both cunning and prudence.

In each round, players work toward collecting sets of different guild symbols. Winning rounds allows you to claim cards from your opponents, helping you gather the combinations needed to score the most points.

Jokers offer flexibility, but the Pot-de-Vin creates a dangerous dilemma. If you collect all of them, they can work against you at the end, so every gain may carry a cost.

News travels fast in the city, and no guild wants to become infamous—unless it can profit from that reputation. With its focus on timing, contested cards, guild collections, and end-game risk, Pot-de-Vin invites players to balance bold plays with careful restraint.
