Power Grid: The Card Game is a strategic card game for 2-6 players that plays in about 60 minutes. Each player takes the role of a CEO leading a powerful electricity company.

During the game, players bid for power plants at auctions and supply those plants with the resources they need. Income depends on how much electricity a company produces in each round, making production a central focus of every decision.

The goal is straightforward: at the end of the game, the player who produces the most electricity wins. Players must therefore balance their plans around plant auctions, resource supplies, and the amount of electricity their company can generate.

Power Grid: The Card Game delivers the tension and tactics associated with Power Grid and Power Grid deluxe, while presenting the experience in a focused card-game format. It offers the full Power Grid emotions in an intensive playing time of approximately one hour.

For two players, the Trust acts as a third player. Both players must account for the Trust’s schemes while challenging their opponent, and may turn those schemes against each other.

The game also includes a small Demolition Contractor variant. This variant can be played with Power Grid: The Card Game, as well as with all maps from Power Grid deluxe and Power Grid.
