About this board game

Power Rangers: Deck-Building Game is a competitive deck-building game for 2–4 players, with approximately 70 minutes of play time. Released in 2021, it pits 1–2 heroes against 1–2 villains in an asymmetrical battle for victory.

The hero and villain sides play somewhat differently, but both share the same ultimate objective: crush the opposing team. The first side to reduce its opponents’ hit points to 0 wins, making every attack and defense an important part of the fight.

During your turn, play cards to generate shards and energy. Use shards to buy cards, battle adversaries, and gain rewards as you develop your deck and work toward defeating the other side.

  • Play attack cards to target the opposing team.
  • Respond to attacks with block cards.
  • Battle adversaries in “The Grid” to gain rewards.
  • Manage shards, energy, cards, and hit points throughout the game.

At the end of your turn, resolve any “end of turn” actions, discard the cards you played, and take one damage for each adversary in “The Grid.” Then refill your hand to five cards and prepare for the next turn.

With its opposing hero and villain sides, distinct play styles, and direct win condition, Power Rangers: Deck-Building Game focuses on tactical card play and a steadily escalating contest. Build your deck, use your resources carefully, defend against incoming attacks, and push the opposing side down to 0 hit points before it can do the same to you.
