Premières Gloires is a two-player historical battle game covering four pivotal French campaigns from 1797 to 1800. Players command small or medium-sized armies across broken terrain and landscapes cut by numerous obstacles, fighting engagements that may last one or several days.

The game recreates Rivoli, where Bonaparte achieved a decisive victory despite being outnumbered; Zürich, where Masséna used a favorable position to save the Republic; Montebello, an escalating clash between French and Austrian advance guards; and Marengo, where a battle that seemed lost was transformed by French concentration and a powerful counterstroke.

These scenarios place you in command at moments when battlefield decisions could shape a campaign. Can you find a way to overcome your opponent, following in the footsteps of Bonaparte, Lannes, or Masséna? With a listed complexity of 7/9, Premières Gloires presents a detailed treatment of battles fought by formations ranging from demi-brigades and regiments to battalions.
