About this board game

R-Eco is a card game for 2–5 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Each player runs a company responsible for separating and recycling the unsorted trash left around a local city.

Your hand represents your truck, while the cards represent garbage collected from dump sites. Take unsorted garbage and deliver each type to its appropriate recycling center. Every delivery that fills a center’s quota earns you payment from the city, turning careful sorting into a race for money.

Space in your truck is limited: it can hold only five items or cards. If you overload it, the excess must be dumped illegally, and that costs money. Managing what you collect and when you deliver it is central to keeping your company profitable.

  • Collect unsorted garbage from dump sites.
  • Deliver each type to its matching recycling center.
  • Fill recycling-center quotas to receive payment.
  • Avoid exceeding your truck’s five-card weight limit.

R-Eco combines hand management, sorting, deliveries, and financial consequences in a compact contest over the city’s waste. Every choice affects how efficiently you can turn collected cards into payment, while an overloaded truck can quickly undermine your earnings.

When the game ends, the player with the most money becomes the one and only authorized garbage collector of the city. Released in 2003, R-Eco offers a focused challenge for groups of two to five players seeking a short game built around recycling and resource management.
