Rabbit Rally

About this board game

Rabbit Rally is a 2016 game for 2–4 players that takes about 15 minutes, challenging rabbits to cross a river and reach a carrot patch.

All rabbits begin on one platform, while the carrot patch awaits on another platform placed some distance away. Between them lies a stream that must be crossed with the help of cardboard planks and wooden stones.

On each turn, a player rolls a color die and takes the cardboard plank matching that color. They then place a wooden stone some distance from their rabbit, judging where it needs to go before trying to position the plank so the rabbit can move onto the stone.

• Roll the color die.
• Pick up the matching plank.
• Place a stone and try to bridge the gap.
• Move the rabbit if the plank placement succeeds.

Careful judgment is essential. If the stone has been placed too far away or in the wrong position, the plank will not provide a successful route, and the rabbit remains where it is. If the attempt works, the rabbit advances farther down the stream toward the carrots.

The first player to reach a carrot wins the game. Additional carrots are included so players can also compete for second and third place, giving the race more than one finishing position. With its simple turn sequence and physical plank placement, Rabbit Rally centers the action on estimating distance and making each crossing count.
