About this board game
Raid on Taihoku is a cooperative board game for 2–4 players, with sessions lasting about 60 minutes, that brings you to Taiwan in 1945 during the closing stages of World War II.
At the time, Taiwan was under Japanese colonial rule. More than one hundred U.S. B-24 bombers launched an air raid on Taihoku, now Taipei. Political and military facilities were the main targets, but the destruction also reached civilian areas, damaging homes and causing many deaths and injuries.
In Raid on Taihoku, players must work together to survive amid the chaos of war. The path forward is not easy: you are fettered, difficult circumstances stand in your way, and the group will face demanding choices before the war is over.
- Players: 2–4
- Playing time: approximately 60 minutes
- Release year: 2017
- Core challenge: cooperate, endure hardship, and survive together
The game presents survival as a shared responsibility. Every decision takes place against the backdrop of an air raid that affected both military targets and ordinary civilians, giving the experience a serious historical setting and a strong human focus.
Dedicated to the people of Taiwan and to those who care about Taiwan, Raid on Taihoku asks players to persevere until the conflict ends. There is no separate victory for one person: you win together or lose together.
