About this board game

Rallyman is a racing game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Released in 2009, it challenges players to complete a custom rally track while aiming for the lowest total time.

Before the race begins, create the course by connecting the sides of 1–4 double-sided boards. Each board offers either an asphalt or snow landscape, letting you shape a different route for every rally.

Movement is driven by dice. Each die rolled advances your car by one space, and every die can be played only once during a turn. Speed dice represent the different gears, while two “gas” dice let you continue moving without changing speed.

You must decide how far to push your car before stopping. When you end your movement, take a card matching the last speed you started. Higher speeds can produce lower times, but the dice may also show a danger symbol. With a third “!”, your car risks spinning off the road.

  • Build a track from 1–4 double-sided boards.
  • Race across asphalt or snow landscapes.
  • Choose when to stop and manage your speed carefully.
  • Risk spins, lost time, and possible vehicle damage.

Turns and straight sections demand different approaches. Some corners can be passed by skidding or sharp turning, while a crash may replace the scheduled card time with 1’00” and can sometimes damage the vehicle depending on the landscape.

At the end of each round, players add their times to their running totals. The winner is the driver with the least total time. In Rallyman, calculated risk-taking and tire management can help you save precious seconds without losing control.
