About this board game
Ramen Ink is a tactical ramen-making board game for 2–5 players that plays in about 20 minutes. Across six rounds, players help chef Sango prepare Japanese noodle soup by selecting toppings, filling bowls, and completing customers’ orders.
Each player uses a score card featuring eight bowls. In every round, two topping cards determine the ingredients to draw. You choose the first topping card yourself, while the remaining topping card must be drawn by all players, creating an interesting balance between personal choice and shared opportunity.
- Select a topping card and draw its ingredients.
- Place the ingredients in the correct bowls on your score card.
- Complete customer orders to earn points.
- Gain a bonus for filling a bowl completely.
The order in which you draw and place ingredients matters. Smart choices can help you complete more orders and earn valuable bonuses, while the shared topping card gives everyone the same additional challenge to consider.
With its compact six-round structure, Ramen Ink focuses on tactical decisions without requiring a lengthy game session. Each player aims to arrange the ingredients correctly, maximize points, and prepare the most successful selection of ramen bowls.
When the final round ends, the player with the most points wins and earns the title of best sous chef. Released in 2020, Ramen Ink offers a concise competitive experience built around ingredient selection, bowl completion, and customer orders.
