In this clever bidding game, coconuts are a powerful argument. Use them to influence which primate gets the most delicious bananas, or to stop other monkeys from grabbing the biggest treats. Every coconut can make a difference when the fruit on offer is especially tempting.
Yet simply throwing your supplies at your competitors is not always the smartest choice. Some bananas need time before they become truly ripe, so patience can be just as valuable as a bold bid. Players must decide when a tempting opportunity is worth pursuing and when it is better to wait.
The changing value of the fruit creates a playful tension between immediate rewards and future possibilities. Greedy choices may leave you watching opponents “humbly” feast on one tiny golden-yellow fruit after another, while your own large green bananas remain unripe.
