About this board game

Reign of Dragoness is a ladder-climbing card game for 2–8 players, played in about 40 minutes. Set in a magical past ruled by the Dragoness, it recreates a grand tournament where dragons, knights, squires, and pages gather to compete for glory.

Each player begins with thirteen cards and aims to play them all before anyone else. On your turn, you must match the current pattern while raising the value of the cards played. As players challenge one another, those unable or unwilling to continue drop out until only one competitor remains.

The winner of each challenge sets the pattern for the next one, creating a changing series of decisions throughout the game. Choosing when to commit cards and when to hold them back is central to shedding your hand and staying in contention.
