About this expansion

Relic: Nemesis is the first expansion for Relic, adding player-versus-player conflict, new characters, Nemesis roles, and four scenarios for 2–6 players, with games lasting around 150 minutes.

Its optional Enemies of the Imperium game mode allows up to two players to take on the role of Nemeses instead of characters. Four Nemesis roles are introduced, including a World Eaters Berserker and an Eldar Dire Avenger, creating a new source of opposition within the game.

Nemesis also increases the player count to six by adding two new player characters: an Eversor Assassin and a Storm Trooper Sergeant. These additions give players more character options when gathering a force to face the challenges of the Imperium.

A separate Apostates versus Devotees mechanism brings another form of player-versus-player tension to Relic. Characters who use the new Apostate wargear—proscribed technology created by enemies of the Imperium—become Apostates, making them targets for more puritanical Devotee characters.

The expansion includes four new scenarios, offering different objectives and settings:

  • Hulk of the Wayward Warrior: complete a clean-up mission aboard the long-lost space hulk.
  • Master Collector: bring precious but forbidden treasures to an infamous and reclusive Rogue Trader.

With optional Nemesis play, a distinct Apostate-versus-Devotee system, additional characters, and new scenarios, Relic: Nemesis expands the ways players can oppose one another and experience the game.
