About this board game

Remolacha is a hidden-role word game for 4–16 players that takes about 30 minutes. In the garden, beetroots have infiltrated the territory, and the vegetagents must identify them while remaining impassive.

At the start, each player secretly receives a role card: beetroot, vegetagent, or rotten turnip. A mission card is then drawn, and together the mission and role cards establish the current word being played with.

Players take turns saying a word related to the mission. Vegetagents try to recognize one another, while beetroots attempt to camouflage themselves as vegetagents. Rotten turnips have a different objective: they want to become the center of attention and be expelled from the garden.

  • Choose a private role and discover the current mission.
  • Give a related word while concealing your true objective.
  • Vote to pass or expel another player.
  • Earn legupoints according to your performance.

After everyone has spoken, voting begins. In order, each player may pass or choose someone to expel, and the player receiving the most votes leaves the garden. Further rounds of words and votes continue until a condition for ending the mission is met.

Once the mission ends, players receive legupoints based on how they performed. The number of missions played determines the length of the game, and the player with the most legupoints at the end wins. With secret identities, inventive word choices, and shifting suspicions, Remolacha turns a simple garden mission into a tense group challenge.
