About this expansion

Resident Evil 3: The Board Game – City of Ruin is an expansion for 1–4 players, with a listed play time of 90 minutes. It adds nine scenarios to the core game’s campaign, providing over 11 hours of additional gameplay.

These scenarios expand the original fourteen-scenario campaign from 19 hours to over 30 hours of total play. They introduce new rules and experiences designed to challenge even experienced Resident Evil board game players.

City of Ruin takes players to three new locations: Raccoon City General Hospital, the City Park, and the Dead Factory. Six new tiles feature fresh artwork, including a special extra-large tile created for a major boss encounter.

The expansion introduces two massive new bosses whose bases occupy multiple squares. With considerably higher stamina, devastating attacks, and the ability to shove characters aside as they move, these enemies require more than weapons alone. Players must use the environment cleverly to overcome them.

  • 1 Nemesis Stage Three miniature and 1 Grave Digger Adult miniature
  • 2 Hunter β, 2 Hunter γ, and 8 Sliding Worm miniatures
  • 76 cards, 29 tokens, and 6 new tiles
  • New weapons and ammunition types for the Handgun, Shotgun, and Grenade Launcher

Three new enemy types and twelve new enemy miniatures add further danger throughout the campaign. With new threats, locations, equipment, and environmental challenges, City of Ruin substantially broadens the Resident Evil 3: The Board Game experience.
