About this board game
Revolt on Antares is a 1981 TSR minigame for 2–4 players, with games lasting approximately 45 minutes. It includes three different scenarios set amid rebellion, alien invasion, and the struggle between rival houses.
In the basic game, one player leads the Rebel forces and their allies in revolt against the Terran forces and the houses that remain loyal. This scenario places the central conflict directly between those seeking revolt and those defending the existing order.
The second scenario changes the situation by adding an invading alien force. The Terran player must defend against revolting houses working in league with the Silakka, creating a distinct challenge from the basic game.
- Basic game: Lead the Rebel player’s allies against Terran forces and loyal houses.
- Second game: Defend Terra against revolting houses allied with the invading Silakka.
- Third game: With Terra neutral, up to four players compete to create the most powerful house on Imirrhos.
The third scenario moves away from the direct Rebel-versus-Terran conflict. With Terra neutral, as many as four players pursue their own goal: building the most powerful house on Imirrhos.
By offering three different scenarios, Revolt on Antares presents several ways to approach its setting. Players can take part in a rebellion, face an invasion alongside internal opposition, or compete for influence among the houses. Its compact format and varied scenarios make it a distinctive entry in TSR’s minigame series.
