About this expansion

Revolver Expansion 1.1: Ambush on Gunshot Trail is a two-player expansion for Revolver, with games taking about 45 minutes. Released in 2012, it adds new strategic choices and greater variety to the showdown between Colonel McReady and Jack Colty.

The mayor of Repentance Springs has fallen down a mine shaft, and Ned McReady is determined to keep the peace by fair means or foul. His opponent, Jack Colty, is a loose cannon accused of robbing banks and shooting folks. With deals struck and ambushes prepared, only one side will claim victory.

The central addition is a new way for the Colonel McReady player to shape the battlefield. Ambush cards can be placed underneath battlefield cards, giving McReady greater strategic options as the confrontation unfolds.

Jack Colty also receives two new bandits, strengthening the range of possibilities available to his side. New cards for both players’ decks let each player customize their deck, bringing fresh variety and replayability to every game.

  • New ambush cards for the Colonel McReady player
  • Two new bandits for the Jack Colty player
  • New cards for both players’ decks
  • Deck customization for increased variety and replayability

Revolver: Ambush on Gunshot Trail is the first in a series of expansions for Revolver. Whether you are backing Ned’s attempt to put a spoke in Jack’s wheel or siding with the outlaw, the expansion offers new ways to prepare, surprise, and pursue victory on Gunshot Trail.
