About this expansion

Down in Flames Squadron Pack 1: Fighters is a two-player expansion for the Down in Flames series, adding 64 fighter aircraft cards for air combat dogfights.

Designed for players seeking more aircraft for their favorite Down in Flames games, this pack includes mostly new aircraft types alongside a few reprints with corrected ratings. The cards use the upgraded graphic style seen in Corsairs and Hellcats.

The aircraft represent a wide range of World War II fighters from several air forces. Notable additions include the British Typhoon and Tempest, the German Bf-109G-6/R6, Fw-190F, and Ta-152H, and the American P-63A Kingcobra, which saw extensive combat service with the Soviet air force.

The pack comes in a ziplock package with an 11-by-17-inch folded cover and rulesbook. The rules include reprinted material from Zero! and Corsairs and Hellcats, helping players who own only the European Theatre volumes, Rise of the Luftwaffe and Eighth Air Force.

New rules also expand the series’ aircraft modeling, including a method for representing fighters carrying a single large-caliber cannon, such as the P-39.
